Camelia Chester, Principal
Ms. Chester has over 20 years experience in education. She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Florida State University. She went on to earn her Master's of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Houston. She also has a Counselor Certification and Mid-management Certification from Prairie View A & M University. Her motto is: "Children don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care".

Charla Watson, Special Education Counselor
After receiving her diploma from the Texas Montessori Institute
in 1985, Ms. Watson began her teaching career at Children’s House
Montessori School in Beaumont, Texas. In 1990 she jointed Beaumont ISD.
There she taught gifted/talented in all subject areas. Ms. Watson joined
Aldine ISD in 1996 at Eckert Intermediate. She became a Special
Education Counselor in 2001 and serves Goodman, Conley, and Smith
Academy. She received her bachelor’s degree from Lamar University and
her master’s degree from Prairie View University. She is a Licensed
Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
Claudia Hurtado, Counselor
Ms. Hurtado has seven years of experience in education. After
receiving her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology from the
University of Houston, she decided to become an educator. She has a
certification as an EC-4 Bilingual Teacher. She went on to earn her
Master’s of School Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She is
proud to start her career as a counselor at Goodman Elementary.
